Jesuits under the Spanish Crown lead mule pack trains of silver bars from New Mexico to The banks of the Sac River in Missouri, then by boat down river to New Orleans, Havana, and Spain. Did they leave behind a cache of silver, location both revealed and protected by a secret code in petroglyphs, some of them leading to deadly traps?
The guy that asked Aqua Survey,Inc. to drive out with our new technology ( which we normaly use for finding unexploded bombs) was not the only one that believes this to be true. Always up for an adventure, Garrett and I made the trip with documentary film making gear in hand.
Our client and host, 'Ace", showed us the petroglyphs, stone monuments, and the maps he had created by interpreting the information and corelating it with books on the elaborate codes created by the Jesuits. He also showed us how misinterpretation of the symbols had lead him to caves featuring boobytraped falling boulders that would crush an intruder. Would we encounter another one?

Several "Robber camps" in the surrounding countryside had active digging and
tunneling works in progress. Ace's Behavior indicated that another hidden trap worried Ace less than an encounter in the woods with a party of his obviously undisciplined rivals.
