That's why I went aboard El Galeon Andelucia in St Augustine Florida, and spent extra time checking out the wee bts. Capitana Rosa Fernandez has her in fine shape. Would you recognize a bit off of an ancient ship if you stubbed your toe on it while strolling with your toes in the waves? The dangers of the sea have left shipwrecks of every era of exploration on the bottom of the sea or seashore all around the world, but it often takes familiarity to recognize the evidence. Thats why I like to visit museums and replicas of ancient sailing ships, and imagine what parts would be left after a traumatic sinking, followed by a long time getting ravaged by the sea.
